This is a well reasoned and informative article for musicians who are trying to decide how to navigate an increasingly independent industry. It should be read by aspiring musicians before they commit any time or money to their career. The author’s formula for success: Talent + energy + information is a fine start and as he implies in his earlier discussion, the only thing I would have added is connections with a team of trustworthy people who understand your music and audience.
